Apprenticeships

The Museum of London has been involved with apprenticeships since 2015.

The apprenticeship programme forms part of our current youth engagement strategy and aligns itself to our current youth volunteer and work experience schemes.

Through an apprenticeship, young people have the opportunity to work, earn and learn at the same time. With the support of the Learning and Development team, our apprentices will gain hands-on experience working in a professional environment. An apprenticeship will involve 20% off-the-job, 80% on-the-job training comprising of 35 hours per week and will last for 12 months or more.

What can you learn as a Museum of London Apprentice?

  • Develop your interest in history and London
  • Gain an understanding of the inner workings of a museum
  • Develop new skills and knowledge
  • Learn from experienced professionals in a real working environment
  • Gain transferable skills
